THE Pittsburgh Steelers have held private workouts with four players, including a quarterback.
Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ latest interest in a quarterback comes as they wait for a decision by Aaron Rodgers.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart headlined the players which also include South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori, Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel, and Oregon defensive tackle Jamaree Caldwell.
Tomlin was at the team facility for the meetings, just as he did when the four-time NFL MVP Rodgers visited the franchise’s building last month.
Dart is considered to be the No. 3 quarterback prospect in this month’s NFL Draft and projects as a first-round pick.
The Steelers hold the No. 21 overall pick but don’t have a second-round pick after using it to trade for star wide DK Metcalf.
Pittsburgh has been linked with other quarterback prospects, which include Jalen Milroe, Will Howard, Riley Leonard and Quinn Ewers.
Steelers general manager Omar Khan attended the pro days for each of the four.
However, it was reported over the weekend that the Steelers expect Rodgers to sign with them.
Rodgers is currently a free agent after the New York Jets moved on from him after two disappointing seasons.
ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported that it’s either the “Steelers or retirement” for the former Super Bowl champ.
“I’m told – from the Steelers – that they do remain optimistic,” Fowler said on Sunday.
“But nothing has changed from when Art Rooney, team president, addressed the media at the owners meeting on Tuesday.
“They feel good about this shaking out, that Rodgers will be a Pittsburgh Steeler.
“I have not got definitive word, but they’re willing to wait ‘a little while longer’.”
Any incoming quarterback would be joining backups Skyar Thompson and Mason Rudolph, who signed a two-year, $8 million deal with the Steelers this offseason.
Rudolph was drafted by the Steelers in 2018 in the third round and was mostly a backup in his six seasons with the team.
He played with the Tennesee Titans last year and posted eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.
The Steelers could elect to sign Rodgers and still draft Dart as the veteran would likely assume starting duties while the team also looks to mold the youngster.
