COPS probing the case of killed teen Austin Metcalf have issued a warning as baseless claims about his death swirl online.
Social media posts have surfaced online from accounts that appeared to impersonate officers.

One account, created in the name of David Shilson, the police chief at the Frisco Police Department, warned the public only to trust information from verified sources.
“Beware of those taking to social media to deliberately spread misinformation, hate, fear, and division,” Shilson said.
“A fictitious account was created using my name perpetuating misinformation.”
Shilson warned that it’s a criminal third-degree felony offense.
The false statement, seen by the NBC affiliate KPRC-TV, claimed Metcalf sucker-punched Anthony.
And, it baselessly claimed Metcalf “smashed” Anthony’s cell phone.
Cops in Frisco also warned the public about a fake medical examiner’s report surfacing online.
The fake dossier claimed the teen’s cause of death was a MDMA overdose.
Authorities have not disclosed Metcalf’s cause of death at any point during their probe.
“Any information currently found online is false,” officers said.
Anthony was arrested following the stabbing at the Kuykendall stadium.
The two teens did not attend the same school in the city.
Cops found a bloodied knife in the bleachers.
‘SENSELESS’ KILLING
Metcalf’s dad, Jeff, said there had been a dispute over a seat before the chaos unfolded.
When Anthony was being quizzed by cops, an officer referred to him as the “alleged suspect” and he made a stark admission, according to an arrest report seen by the NBC affiliate KXAS-TV.
Anthony reportedly said: “I’m not alleged. I did it.”
And, he also claimed to cops he was acting in self-defense.
Anthony also alleged that Metcalf “put his hands on him.”
Another officer claimed that Anthony was hysterical when being taken away from the sports venue.
The stabbing has left Metcalf’s family reeling.
“It was really senseless,” Metcalf’s twin brother, Hunter, told the ABC affiliate WFAA-TV.
“I don’t know why a person would do that to someone just over that little argument
“It’s just crazy in this world nowadays how people just up and do that.”
FINAL MOMENTS
Hunter said Metcalf “did everything” for their family.
“He was a strong man. He was a strong kid,” he said.
“He did a lot for our family and a bunch of stuff that we just don’t recognize.”
Hunter revealed that his sibling was always there for him.
“We were one person,” he told The Dallas Morning News.
“We did everything together, everything the same.”
Hunter tried to stop the bleeding after Metcalf was stabbed.
“I tried to whip around as fast as I could, but I didn’t see the stab,” he admitted.
And, Jeff, 60, recalled the horror as he saw his son on a stretcher.
Metcalf’s skin was covered in blood and he had a hole in his chest.
He told The Dallas Morning News that he kissed his son’s head in their final moments together.
Jeff also promised he would see Metcalf again.
Days before the stabbing, Metcalf caught his first hog.
Jeff recalled that he had never seen his son so thrilled when he shot his target.
Meanwhile, Hunter tried to shoot his first turkey.
Jeff has been an avid hunter since he was a child and opened up about how he wanted his sons to enjoy the same hobbies.
