While we all sit patiently and wait (possibly with the help of some Lorazepam) for Mike White to deliver Season 4 of The White Lotus to HBO, here are some fun ideas for where the franchise could go. And Mr. White, if you'd like to hire me as a creative consultant, I am more than happy to spend six months hanging out at a five-star resort!
Ideas for The White Lotus Season 4
Not an original thought, but the internet is clamoring for a snowy setting after three seasons in beautiful, sunny locales. While a season in Switzerland, Norway or Canada would certainly provide some visual interest, it also opens up some new plots. An avalanche? Someone stranded on a mountain with a broken leg? A ski pole stabbing? What's not to love?!

Show us who gets murdered
The first three seasons have opened with an unidentified body. But what if, ala The Secret History, we knew who died right away? Then viewers would get to spend the season trying to figure out how and why the guest was found stabbed rather than just who got knifed.
Invent the White Lotus Cruise Line
While cruises are often not that glamorous, I do think the saga of that year-long cruise as well as Triangle of Sadness, have given me a fascination with the idea of rich people trapped together in close quarters. This season would undoubtedly be a pressure cooker, with at least one person getting tossed overboard.
Bring back Sydney Sweeney

Cast a pop star
I'd love a pop star playing a pop star. While I enjoy having Jaclyn the actress on the show and LISA is fun, I just think having Lady Gaga on The White Lotus would be even better, especially if there was a concert set piece for some reason. Pop stars I'd also accept include Charli XCX, Dua Lipa and Janet Jackson.
Focus on a gay friend group
Every season of the show has included some sort of male-on-male sexual scene, but we've yet to see a gay relationship within the main cast. Certainly, Mike White has experienced the layered dynamics within a gay friend group where people's exes, hookups, friendships, crushes and relationships all meld together. It's high time we get some annoying gays front and center at the White Lotus.
