According to an April 3 announcement, T.W. Garner Food Company is recalling select lots and sizes of Texas Pete Habanero Buffalo Sauce. The announcement claims that the bottles in question could potentially contain Sriracha Sauce, which in itself contains sulfites, of which are not listed on the label. The cause for concern here lies with those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sulfites, as these folks run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction so should they consume the recalled products.
In addition to the recalled bottles of Texas Pete Habanero Buffalo Sauce, T.W. Garner Food Company is also recalling select lots and sizes of Texas Pete Sweet CHAbanero Sauce due to the bottles' failure to contain the labeled ingredient ‘Aged Peppers (Red Habanero Peppers, Salt, Vinegar). The recalled products were shipped to distribution centers and retails stores in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia and Vermont.
