THE Cincinnati Bengals subtly dropped a hint that they could be leaving their city.
During the NFL league meetings, the Bengals made it known that they could look for a new home soon.

Their lease at Paycor Stadium will expire on June 30, 2026, unless they extend it by the same date this year.
The extension goes for two more years, but team executive V.P. Katie Blackburn didn’t give a hopeful answer about the lease.
“We play it day by day, and like everything else, we just continue to have discussions, see where things are, and then have to make decisions at the appropriate time,” Blackburn said, via the Cincinnati Enquirer.
If the Bengals decide not to take their option and extend the lease, they are open to look at a relocation for the future.
They aren’t being shy about telling the world that they are open for business either.
“We could, I guess, go wherever we wanted after this year if we didn’t pick the up option up,” Blackburn said.
“So, you know, we’ll see. Like I said, all these things will be done in due course.
“We are having discussions, and so we’re hopeful that the county is thinking about it a lot too and wants to get it addressed in a way that would be beneficial to both of us.”
Blackburn did acknowledge that “we love where we are,” but continued to put the pressure on the city and the stadium.
“Our stadium obviously needs to continue to be maintained appropriately, and you want to keep it at a certain level that’s important, just so that we’re competitive with others,” she said.
Blackburn has made a series of comments that have left Bengals fans disappointed at the NFL league meetings.
She also spoke out about contract talks with star defender Trey Hendrickson.
“As you’re trying (to put) all these pieces together, you have certain limitations eventually,” Blackburn said, via the Cincinnati Enquirer.
“So he seemed to feel strongly about it, and thought the strength of interest out there was going to be at a certain level.
“And so, we said that it would be OK to at least explore, and so we don’t do that all the time, but in this case, we felt like it was the right thing to do, case-by-case basis every time.
“And he’s still a Bengal, so we’ll see. It’s just something that we’ll keep working through.”
Hendrickson quickly spoke out about her comments, expressing his “disappointment.”
“That was a little disappointing because communication has been poor over the last couple of months,” Hendrickson said.
“That’s something that I hold in high regard. They have not communicated with my agent directly.
“It’s been something that’s been a little bit frustrating, but again, this is the business of it.
“I’m incredibly blessed to be in the NFL, and I’m excited to be a Bengal, right?”
