Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill took an indirect jibe at Virat Kohli and RCB after handing them a 8-wicket thrashing on Wednesday. Rajat Patidar and co. were welcomed to their home ground – the M Chinnaswamy stadium – with a huge defeat, handing them their first loss in IPL 2025. While all the attention was devoted to RCB and Kohli in Bengaluru, GT simply silenced the crowd with their performance.

Taking to social media platform X, GT captain Gill shared a picture from the team’s victory with a caption, “Eyes on the game, not the noise.” Well, this was surely aimed at the loud and loyal RCB fans. Gill’s post echoes the fact that the home side was subjected to a humiliation in their own backyard, without any mercy.

— Shubman Gill (@ShubmanGill) April 2, 2025If CSK fans are crazy about MS Dhoni, then it is Virat Kohli for the RCB fans. That craze was silenced by Gill and co. effectively.
RCB no match for GT
Buttler, Sudharsan and Siraj were the architects of a fine 8-wicket victory for the Titans. Gill was dismissed for a run-a-ball 14 by Bhuvneshwar but there was no looking back for GT from thereon. A 75-run stand between Buttler and Sudharsan put them on course for a big win.
Buttler continued his fine form this summer and followed up scores of 54 and 39 with another half-century while Sherfane Rutherford walked in to finish what the side started at the top of the game, thanks to a fiery Siraj.

Siraj breathed fire to remove Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal early on in the innings for 14 and 4 runs respectively. Virat managed to score just 11 runs before he was sent packing by Arshad Khan.
Livingstone emerged as the top-scorer for the home side, managing to score 54 runs. Contributions from Jitesh and Tim David propelled RCB to 169 runs. But clearly, that wasn’t enough.
