EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports taken from the Greeley Police Department’s daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column because of space limitations.
March 4
1:00 p.m.: A caller at a restaurant in the 700 block of 11th Avenue reported having an altercation with an “Air Force agent,” earlier that morning over a parking space.
7:00 p.m.: A caller at a gas station in the 5100 block of 10th Street reported a man aimlessly wandering around the gas station parking lot. When the caller asked him if he was up to anything suspicious, the man replied, “not really.”
7:15 p.m.: A caller in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue was sitting in his living room when a man busted into the house claiming he was being chased. The man then left into the backyard before hopping the caller’s fence into the alley.
10:45 p.m.: A caller at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue reported a man outside had been screaming for roughly an hour and sounded “really pissed off.”
11:00 p.m.: A caller in the 500 block of 16th Street reported a white pickup truck hit a sign in the median approaching the railroad tracks, scattering debris all over the road. After assessing the situation, the truck took off north on 4th Avenue.
March 5
2:00 a.m.: A caller in the 400 block of North 35th Avenue reported a vehicle parked outside that had been running for about five hours. Officers contacted two men in the truck, who both lived at the address, but the wife of one of the men kicked them out for the night.
9:15 a.m.: A caller at an apartment building at an unknown address reported a tenant had just been arrested for drug manufacturing and her apartment still had a lot of traffic in and out. The caller had an inspection of the apartment scheduled that day and wanted to know if officers could help.
4:00 p.m.: A caller at a business in the 8200 block of 20th Street reported a friendly black poodle had wandered into their office.
March 6
9:15 a.m.: A caller in the 900 block of 25th Street reported that she shares the house with other tenants, and one of them keeps locking out all the others.
9:30 a.m.: A caller at a fast food restaurant in the 2900 block of 10th Street reported a long-haired man was smoking weed in the bathroom and it was making people uncomfortable.
10:00 a.m.: A caller at a supermarket in the 900 block of 47th Avenue reported a man was using tools from the store to try to pry open locked cases.
12:30 p.m.: A caller in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue reported a bunch of kids driving around really fast throwing Orbeez, balls that expand when put in water, at each other.
6:15 p.m.: A caller at an unknown address reported he had been the victim of a scam in which the scammer pretended to be with Xfinity security but instead put porn on his computer.
