Santa Margarita all-league wide receiver Jack Junker has transferred to Mission Viejo, the sophomore confirmed Wednesday.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Junker progressed in each of his two seasons at Santa Margarita.
Last fall, he collected 41 receptions for 606 yards and eight touchdowns in earning first-team All-Trinity League honors.
He had five receptions for a season-high 172 yards and three TDs in a win against Inglewood in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
As a freshman, Junker had 24 catches for 316 yards.
At Mission Viejo, he joins a wide receiver group led by Georgia committed junior Vance Spafford.
Junker is the second Santa Margarita player to transfer to Mission Viejo this offseason. Freshman defensive back Jordan Hicks earlier left the Trinity League school for the Diablos.
Santa Margarita and Mission Viejo meet in a season-opening game Aug. 22 at Trabuco Hills High. The game will be the debut of new Santa Margarita coach Carson Palmer.
