In astatement, the Israeli Army described a violent confrontation betweenPalestinians and Israelis, which followed an incident where"terrorists" allegedly threw rocks at Israeli citizens. "IDF andIsraeli Police forces arrived to disperse the confrontation, at which pointseveral terrorists began throwing rocks at the security forces," thestatement noted.
According toThe Guardian, citing five Jewish American activists who witnessed the incident,Ballal was surrounded by approximately 15 armed settlers who threw stones anddamaged a water cooler. Following the assault, he was reportedly detained bythe Israeli army, along with another unidentified man. The activists whovisited Billal's home later reported seeing blood on the floor.
