India, led by Rohit Sharma, secured the ICC Champions Trophy by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the summit clash in Dubai on March 9. This was Rohit Sharma’s second ICC title as captain of the Indian team. The 37-year-old became the first skipper to lead a team in all ICC tournament finals.
"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men’s Selection Committee," the board said in a statement.
Team India Players to Receive Entire ICC Prize Money
According to a report by the Times of India, each player from India's 15-member squad will receive ₹3 crore from the BCCI. The entire ICC prize money for winning the 2025 Champions Trophy will be distributed only among the players.
The ICC announced a total prize pool of $6.9 million for the 2025 Champions Trophy, a 53% increase from 2017. India received $2.24 million, with an additional $34,000 for each match won (excluding the semi-finals and final).
India's Head Coach Gautam Gambhir to Receive ₹3 Crore
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar will get ₹30 lakh, while the other four national selectors will receive ₹25 lakh each. BCCI staff members who were part of India's contingent in Dubai will also be awarded ₹25 lakh each.
