CINCINNATI Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow gave a strong message to his newly-paid wide receiver teammates, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

Chase is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history as he and Higgins will receive over $70 million per year in their new multi-year deals.
On the same day, the Bengals’ X account posted a video of Burrow congratulating his two star wideouts.
NFL fans noticed that Burrow was full of joy and spotted Chase and Higgins in the team’s locker room.
He then hugged Higgins and dapped him before embracing Chase.
“Big money in here right now, big money,” Burrow said and then laughed.
Both Chase and Higgins were under control for the 2025 season.
However, last training camp, Chase staged a hold-in as he seeked a new contract.
He was entering the second-to-last year of his rookie contract.
And Higgins was given the franchise tag for a second time and requested a trade before last year’s free agency period.
The pair’s uncertain futures led to the franchise star quarterback Burrow urging the Bengals to hand them contracts.
Both Higgins and Chase are represented by the same agent, Rocky Arceneaux.
Chase’s deal, which has $112 million guaranteed, will have an annual average of $40.25 million, which beats Cleveland Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett’s recent $123 million which is $40 million AAV.
The 25-year-old is coming off one of the best individual seasons in history for a wide receiver.
He led all NFL players in receptions (127), receiving yards, (1,708), and receiving touchdowns (17).
As for Higgins, his deal is guaranteed for the first two years.
Despite dealing with injuries, Higgins was able to be 10th in the NFL in receiving yards per game (75.9) and catch 10 touchdowns in 12 games.
The Bengals are coming off a 2024 season in which they missed the playoffs with a 9-8 record.
