Fast food chains have come up with some fast breaks for their basketball-loving customers in honor of March Madness.
A few casual restaurant chains are also getting in the action.
Some promotions, like Chipotle’s celebration of women’s college basketball and McDonald’s Angel Reese collaboration, are tied into the sport. Some promotions are tied to game dates.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Customers can buy one order of boneless wings and get one free on Thursday, March 20. The offer is good for dine-in, takeout or delivery. Del Taco: The Lake Forest-based chain has a pair of buy-one-get-one offers for rewards members. Customers can get The Del Taco, which is its original hard-shell, ground beef taco, BOGO from Thursday, March 20 through Monday, March 24. The offer is a Double Del Cheeseburger on March 27-31. Dog Haus: The Pasadena-based chain is offering all-day happy hour on game days. Restaurants are currently serving a limited-time burger called the Big Hac, which was created with influencer Josh Elkin and resembles a signature item on McDonald’s menu. doghaus.com
KFC: The chicken chain is offering what it describes as its first new bucket in nearly a decade. The Dunk It Bucket includes chicken tenders, fries and a new, limited time item called Mashed Potato Poppers, plus dipping sause and gravy for the potatoes. It costs about $7. kfc.com
McDonald’s: The current Happy Meal pays tribute to McDonald’s All American Games and basketball stars such as Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu and Aaron Gordon. It includes basketball toys. The chain’s collaboration with Reese on a barbecue bacon Quarter Pounder is still available.
Shake Shack: The New York-based chain let rewards members shoot hoops last week to decide which sandwich was their favorite, the Chicken Shack sandwich or the Avocado Bacon Burger. Smashburger: Customers ordering third-party delivery can get discounts on select dates. DoorDash users can get $7.50 off a $30 purchase, and DashPass members can get $9 off $30.
