India batter Virat Kohli arguably is one of the best players to have graced the game. The premier batter has achieved almost everything in his career, and with the kind of impact that he has made across the formats, it's fair to say that there's no one better than him in the current generation.
Virat Kohli hit a sensational ton against Pakistan and then came up with a brilliant 86 against Australia in the semi-final. He ended the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as the second-leading run-getter for India. He slammed 218 runs from 5 matches at an average of 54.50.
Virat Kohli, however, rubbished off all the rumors. He said that he is not going to make any announcements as he still loves playing the game. He also added that he is just enjoying this time and isn't chasing achievements anymore. Speaking at RCB Innovation Lab, he said:
The competitive streak doesn’t allow you to find the answer - Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli further added that players often struggle to find the right time for their retirement. He revealed that he had an interesting conversation with Rahul Dravid related to this, adding that he is happy in his life at this point in time. He added:
"You might be going through a lean phase and you feel like this is it. But it might not be. But then, when it was time, my competitive streak would not allow me to accept it. Maybe one more month. Maybe six more months. So I think it’s a fine balance. At this point of time in my life, I feel pretty happy.”
