Boogie Fland has not played for Arkansas since January after sustaining a thumb injury and undergoing surgery on the UCL of his thumb. At the time, Fland’s situation was described as a season-ending injury, but that no longer appears to be the case.
On Saturday, ESPN’s Seth Greenberg reported during halftime of the SEC Tournament semifinals that Fland was on track to practice on Sunday. If the star point guard avoids any setbacks, he will be on track to return to the Razorbacks’ lineup to begin March Madness.

He said that both Fland and Adou Thiero would be unavailable this weekend but was quick to say their future statuses depend on “how far we advance.”
Fland was the team’s 2nd-leading scorer at 15.1 points per game but has been limited to just 18 appearances while Thiero leads Arkansas at 15.6 points per game. Fland was also the team leader in assists at 5.7 and is 1 of 3 Razorbacks to average 1.5 steals per game while also shooting 36.5% from 3-point range.
Getting Fland back in the lineup would make a significant impact on the March Madness odds for Arkansas in Calipari’s first postseason with the program. For now, fans will have to wait and hope that he will get the all-clear ahead of next week’s tournament opener.
