Eastbound Interstate 70 is closed Thursday morning west of Vail for a vehicle recovery, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
As of 9:30 a.m., eastbound I-70 remained closed between Exit 167 for Avon and Exit 168 for Post Boulevard, about 10 miles west of Vail, CDOT officials said.
Drivers are being rerouted on U.S. 6, but transportation officials were still reporting more than 30-minute delays in the area.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
