The poor ratings come as The Baldwins has faced controversy from viewers because of the 2021 shooting death of Halyna Hutchins on the Rust set.
While rehearsing a scene for the Western in New Mexico, the gun Alec was holding accidentally fired a live round, hitting and killing the cinematographer and injuring director Joel Souza.
The involuntary manslaughter case against Alec for the shooting was dismissed in July 2024, though the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Halyna’s mother, father and sister against the actor remains ongoing.
In the second episode, Hilaria, 41, revealed her husband “wanted to kill himself” and struggled with “survivor’s guilt” after the shooting.
She claimed the shooting affected his mental and physical health, as he began experiencing heart problems.
FAN REACTION
But viewers weren’t sympathetic to the Baldwins, as one wrote, “Takes no responsibility. Won’t watch and don’t deserve a show.”
A second commented, “Playing victim?”
A third wrote, “The way they have handled the death of a young mother is inconceivable. Here they are in the lead up to his trial with a pity me performance for the cameras.”
A fourth commented, “Nobody feels sorry for this guy and this ‘show’ is an absolute disgrace to his victim! Go cry into your bank account!”

HILARIA’S SCANDAL
In another controversy, Hilaria has also been accused of cultural appropriation through the years.
Hilaria was born Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas in Boston and has no Spanish descent.
Her Spanish accent goes in and out throughout the show, as she defended herself on the series.
“I’m raising my kids to be bilingual,” she said on the premiere. “I was raised bilingual. My nuclear family now lives over in Spain.
“I want to teach my kids pride in speaking more than one language. I think just growing up and speaking two languages is extremely special.
“I love English. I also love Spanish. And when I mix the two, it doesn’t make me inauthentic. When I mix the two, that makes me normal.”
Fans have slammed Hilaria’s Spanish accent on the show, as one slammed, “She’s still putting on a accent??!!!”
A second said, “Why does she insist digging her heels in on cultural appropriation when she’s been called out for it so many times and people have told her how hurtful it is.”
A third said, “Hilaria turned me off from her fake Spanish days and now I have zero respect…”
But many viewers have defended the family against the scandals, as one praised, “The realest reality show I’ve ever seen!
“The love and support your family has for each other is so heartwarming!”
Another complimented, “It is so refreshing to see a family that are full of chaotic love. If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t watch.”
The Baldwins airs on Sundays at 10pm ET on TLC.
