THE Dallas Mavericks have added an eight percent increase to the 2025-26 season ticket prices – and fans of the NBA team have gone ballistic.
The decision comes after the controversial trade of superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in January.

The average overall price increased 8.61%, per a press release from the Mavericks.
The team revealed that the price hike is due to the ongoing investments in team and fan engagement.
The Mavs pointed out in the statement that full-season members will save 15 to 23 percent compared to the secondary market next season.
However, that number could be misleading as season-ticket prices are usually stable compared to secondary-market prices, which can change due to numerous game factors, including fan interest.
Mavericks fans expressed their disgust over the team’s decision to increase the season ticket prices for the 2025-26 NBA season.
“I cancelled my tickets this morning and got a refund for the rest of my games. F *** the Mavs,” one wrote.
“The Dallas Mavericks just sent me my season ticket renewal and they increased the prices another 8%. You trade away everyone’s favorite player, make the team worse, and want to charge us more? Get out of here,” a second commented.
“This organization killed my loyalty and fandom,” a third added.
Fans also called out The Adelson family, the Mavs’ new owners.
“If anyone had doubts what the Adelson family is doing with Mavericks it should be pretty clear now, they RAISING ticket prices after blowing a big (expletive) you to the city,” a fan noted.
The season ticket price increase is notable due to the aftermath of the Doncic trade.
The franchise received massive backlash from their fans since trading Doncic to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis.
After the five-time NBA All-Star was traded, packs of fans protested the move and held protests outside the Mavericks’ arena.

The Mavs have reportedly offered some fans refunds on their season tickets, per ESPN.
The No. 2 seed Lakers have won six straight games and 10 of their last 12 contests – all of which have occurred after the Doncic trade.
As for the Mavericks, they have lost three of their last four games.
Davis continues to be out with an injury, and the No. 10 seed Mavs are just three games above .500.
Fans in Dallas were attached to the 2018 first-round pick Slovenian Doncic.
He was expected to be a Mav for life, like the German icon Dirk Nowitzski did before him.
Mavericks fans will now have to continue to deal with a Doncic-less team, which includes a season-ticket price hike to boot.
