MCDONALD’S CEO has revealed his top three “fast food predictions” for 2025 as fans beg for an “epic” burger switch.
Chris Kempczinski unveiled the “hot” predictions in an Instagram video on Thursday.

Chris’ first prediction involves protein.
He declared “Protein is hot. Look out for more protein.”
Chris believes everyone is “into protein” which works “perfectly” with McDonald’s considering burgers, chicken and filet-o-fish are all on the menu.
He said: “I think protein is going to be a big trend that you see with people looking to get increased protein consumption.”
Chris’ second prediction regards AI.
With AI on the rise, Chris acknowledged it has a lot of “applications in our business.”
He explained they have a number of teams assessing how AI can be used to “deliver an even better experience” for their customers and crew members.
This happens to come after McDonald’s decision to end the use of AI-assisted order-taking at its drive-thru lanes.
Chris’ final prediction is sauces.
He said: “Spicy is certainly always in. I think you might see some honey or some sweet stuff in, but sauces are going to be a big thing in my estimation for 2025.”
One fan was quick to flag Chris’ mention of protein.
They said: “It’s interesting you mention protein.
“I’m celiac and can’t eat wheat and McDonald’s is actually one of the few fast–food joints I can eat at due to how things are prepared (in my country at least).
“But it would be epic if you could do “protein” variants of burgers where a lettuce wrap or something similar could replace the bread because eating a burger out of a cardboard box isn’t great even if it’s doable.”
To which another fan replied: “In some countries they offer Gluten Free buns.
“You can even buy Gluten Free beer from the Spanish McDonald’s.”
Meanwhile another fan wrote: “McDonald’s has been a staple for so many families of all creeds for some time now.
“Keep up the good work and looking forward to whatever new things McDonald’s brings to the people.”
A couple of fans even begged for the return of the Beef Tallow and Salt on fries.
While one Maccie’s lover said: “Great prediction.”
That concludes Chris’ list for the fast-food industry, however, he pledged he will return next year to see how 2025 panned out.
He added: “One of the great things about working is there are always exciting things going on. Things are always changing.”
