England National Cricket Team faced an early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after their disappointing loss against Afghanistan National Cricket Team. The Jos Buttler-led side went on to lose the match by eight wickets and it marked their second straight loss in the tournament.
England's horrible batting effort was one of the major reasons behind the loss. Apart from Joe Root, no other batter could get going and ended up giving their wickets as the Three Lions failed to progress into the knockouts for the second time in the last three ICC events.
Brook ended up giving a simple catch to bowler Mohammad Nabi in the 22nd over. The right-hander scored just 25 runs off 23 balls as England National Cricket Team lost their fourth wicket for just 133 runs in the chase of 326 runs in a virtual knockout of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
