THE NFL is considering another change to the kickoff rule after a radical overhaul for 2024.

The league was happy with how the first season using it played out.
Injuries on kickoffs were down while the return rate was 57 per cent higher.
But NFL Competition Committee chairman Rich McKay outlined proposed alterations.
And they include teams getting possession at the 35-yard line rather than the 30-yard line.
Kickoffs will also be taken from five yards further back than the current spot of the 30-yard line.
McKay wants to get the proposed changes ready for league meetings in March.
Any changes need approval from 24 teams, at least 75 per cent of the league.
The new NFL season will begin on Thursday 4 September.
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the opener after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Also confirmed for Week 1 will be a return to Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday 5 September.
Last year the Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers in the first NFL game in the nation.
The Los Angeles Chargers will be the home team at Corinthians Arena against an opponent to be confirmed.
Six fixtures have also been confirmed for Europe.
Three will take place in London, England, again with the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars the home teams.

The Germany game will take place in Berlin for the first time ever as the Indianapolis Colts play host.
NFL will also be in Spain with the Miami Dolphins the designated home team in Madrid.
And the Pittsburgh Steelers are the home team for the first ever game in Dublin, Ireland.
“The ownership’s approved eight international games already,” commissioner Roger Goodell said in Brazil last year.
“I hope to get that to 16 at some point in the future. Let’s see how that goes.”
