The Kansas City Chiefs could potentially lose numerous impact players in free agency next month as rumors swirl around the league. One of the latest suggestions circulating is from USA Today’s Jacob Camenker regarding starting middle linebacker Nick Bolton.
According to Camenker, the Cincinnati Bengals are a likely spot for the former Missouri Tigers standout.
“Here’s another move where an AFC contender gets better at the expense of the Chiefs; Bolton has been a productive, three-down linebacker for Kansas City, eclipsing 100 tackles in three of his four seasons and logging career-best marks in sacks (3) and pass defenses (6) in 2024,” wrote Camenker. “The Bengals need a three-down linebacker to replace Germaine Pratt, who requested a trade, and soon-to-be 25-year-old Bolton would be a core building block in Al Golden’s defense.”
In his four seasons with the Chiefs, Bolton tallied 458 tackles, 32, five sacks, and two forced fumbles while also serving as the defense’s lead communicator at middle linebacker. During his postgame press conference from Super Bowl LIX, he mentioned that Missouri and Kansas City feel like home.
