The meteorologist and Today show personality recently sat down at an airport restaurant to eat dinner with her family, only to find out that the menu's "gluten free" options weren't actually safe for her child with celiac disease.
Chronicling the experience via Instagram on Friday, Feb. 21, Dreyer, 43, shared a photo of the restaurant's menu that listed "gluten free crust" as a possible substitute for the pizza offerings—however, the gluten-free pizzas were not cooked in a separate oven.

"Also, airports: do better for people with celiac disease," added Dreyer, whose 8-year-old son Calvin can't eat gluten due to having celiac disease.
"Airports are the absolute worst for celiac and gluten free. We need better and more SAFE options!" one user insisted, while someone else pointed out that "So many restaurants get this wrong."
Another follower called the situation "SO frustrating" to deal with, while thanking Dreyer for bringing attention to the issue.
