Felix Okpara was listed as questionable on the Friday night injury report, but the Tennessee big man is expected to play against Texas A&M on Saturday, per multiple reports.
That news was first shared by Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel on Saturday morning. Okpara has been dealing with an ankle sprain he suffered in practice earlier this month.
Okpara would have been a huge loss for the Vols, particularly in this matchup. Texas A&M is arguably the best offensive rebounding team in the country and Okpara is Tennessee’s best chance to keep up on the glass. He has a defensive rebounding rate of 17.6% on the season, which is better than all Tennessee rotation players with the exception of Igor Milicic.
In addition to his work on the boards, Okpara averages 7.6 points and 1.8 blocks per game.
