TREVOR LAWRENCE has spoken out after shock transfer rumors.

The quarter-back, 25, has been with the Jacksonville Jaguars since he was picked first overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

But Lawrence has just had a difficult season.

Injuries kept him out for seven games and he ended up with a career-low average of 204.5 passing yards per game.

But he was nothing but positive when he chatted to Kay Adams on her YouTube show Up & Adams.

Adams brought up talk that the Pittsburgh Steelers are keen on recruiting him.

Lawrence responded first by revealing a major clause in his contract.

And he then went much further – as he explained why he is “happy” with the Jaguars.

Lawrence is predicting “exciting” times under offense-minded new coach Liam Coen.

And he believes Coen can help Jacksonville build a realistic “plan” to win the Super Bowl.

Talk of interest from the Steelers actually emerged AFTER Coen came in following the sacking of Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke.

But Lawrence told Adams: “I have a no-trade clause in my contract, so I would know about it if I was getting traded or if that was something that was going to happen.

” I’d have to be on board with it — which I’m not. I’m happy here in Jacksonville.

“I plan on — we want to win a Super Bowl here, and I think we can do that.

“And I don’t want to leave Jacksonville. So, I’m happy here, obviously. I’m not going to Pittsburgh.”

Lawrence even said his agent had approached ESPN’s Adam Schefter over the Pittsburgh rumours.

He added: “Liam [Coen] texted me, actually, I guess the day after it came out, and Liam said, ‘I shouldn’t even have to say this, but that’s not coming from us’.

“And I was like, ‘Yeah, I figured’.

‘So, we’re all good. He didn’t even have to send that, there was no doubt on my side.”

Lawrence was also relaxed enough to say he was a big fan of Steelers chief Mike Tomlin.

He said: “I like coach Tomlin, he’s a good guy.

“But I’m set here. Like I said, we love Jacksonville. This is home for us.

“And there’s a lot more on the football side that we’ve yet to accomplish here, and I’m excited about what we’re building.”
