Aoun confirmed that "what happened onthe airport road and in some areas of Beirut is unacceptable and cannot beallowed to happen again," urging against falling for suspicious calls thatcould lead to similar actions.
In turn, the UN Special Coordinator forLebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert called the incident unacceptable andexpressed her commitment to working with the Lebanese government and relevantparties to maintain stability and achieve justice. "Such an act ofviolence threatens the safety of United Nations staff who work tirelessly tomaintain stability in Lebanon, sometimes at great personal risk," shewrote on X.

The United States, according to a US StateDepartment statement, commended “the swift response of the Lebanese ArmedForces to prevent further violence, and the Lebanese government’s commitment totake all necessary measures to hold individuals accountable for theiractions."
