REDWOOD CITY — An 18-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Thursday morning in Redwood City, according to authorities.

They arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said he was later identified as a Redwood City resident.
An investigation is underway into the shooting. Preliminary information suggests the shooting was an isolated incident and not a random act of violence, police said.
