While Behar was at her usual post on Monday's episode of the talk show, she wasn't sitting at the table on Tuesday or Wednesday, when former co-host Star Jones took her place.
On Thursday, Feb. 6, Behar was nowhere to be seen again—but this time, Goldberg had an explanation, according to TV Insider.
As previously announced, Behar is debuting her brand new off-Broadway show My First Ex-Husband this week at Mac-Haydn Theater in New York alongside Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, and Adrienne C. Moore.
According to the official description of the show, “My First Ex-Husband is a bold and heartfelt adaptation of true stories by the legendary Joy Behar, comedienne and co-host of The View. With razor-sharp wit and no filters, it explores the messy, hilarious truths of love, sex, and relationships. Whether you’re happily coupled, cautiously committed, or considering changing the locks, relationships are complicated—and universally relatable. These stories are your stories, only funnier.”
This isn't Behar's first live theatre experience, as Deadline reported. She's appeared onstage in such plays as Nicky Silver’s The Food Chain and Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in addition to writing and performing her own solo show, Me, My Mouth and I, at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
