Luka Doncic is set to make his Los Angeles Lakers, and ESPN is making some adjustments to its schedule.
Even non-NBA fans heard about the trade between the Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks that sent the superstar to Los Angeles. Doncic and the Lakers are facing the Indiana Pacers at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The Lakers game will be on ESPN, meaning the top-10 showdown between Florida and Auburn will now air on ESPN2. Dan Shulman, Jay Bilas and Jess Sims will be on the call for the game, which tips at 4 p.m. ET.
No. 1 Auburn is atop the SEC standings. The Tigers are 21-1 overall and on a 14-game winning streak, including all 9 conference contests. AU has a 10-0 record at home so far in the 2024-25 season.
No. 6 Florida is a few spots behind in the SEC standings at 19-3 overall and 6-3 in SEC play. Two of UF’s 3 losses, to Kentucky and Tennessee, have come on the road. Florida head coach Todd Golden served on Pearl’s staff at Auburn and the two remain close friends.
Both teams were in action on Tuesday night. Florida came on strong in the 2nd half to defeat Vanderbilt 86-75 for a bounce-back win at home. Auburn, also at home, blew out Oklahoma 98-70 to extend its winning streak.
The Gators and Tigers last met in the SEC Tournament, an 86-67 Auburn victory.
