According to a new report from Wells Fargo, the main ingredient in guacamole has seen a notable increase in price from last year to this year, which could have people questioning their football food plans.
The report looked at changes in the price of key ingredients in a classic Super Bowl spread from 2024 to 2025, and a couple of staples saw a big spike in cost.
But that wasn't the only item that experienced a big price increase, as the cost of cherry tomatoes went up 11.9 percent, making it the highest increase according to the report. Red bell peppers, chicken wings that are raw, not frozen, prepared carrots and a couple of other items also had a rise in price this year.
