Tottenham will not be signing Axel Disasi on deadline day, talkSPORT understands.

Spurs had been pushing to sign the Chelsea defender on loan, but he has now snubbed the move in favour of joining Aston Villa.

An agreement is in place for Disasi to head to Villa Park on loan until the end of the season.

It comes as Radu Dragusin is ruled out for the rest of the current campaign in another injury blow for Ange Postecoglou.

The Romanian international has torn his ACL.

Dragusin was forced off 21 minutes after coming on against Elfsborg in the Europa League last Thursday.

The 23-year-old then missed Spurs’ 2-0 win at Brentford on Sunday afternoon as a result of the knee injury.

His absence adds to a growing list of injuries in north London, with Cristian Romero also expected to be out for another three weeks.

Meanwhile, centre-back Micky van de Ven has made a staggered return to action with players like Archie Gray forced to play in defence in recent matches.

Elsewhere, Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario are amongst seven other injured Spurs players.
