At least six people wereinjured, including four who were hospitalized, while the remaining two receivedon-site treatment for minor injuries. “All employees at the site have beenaccounted for,” the refinery said.
Contra Costa County Fire Battalion Chief Bob Atlas couldn’testimate when the fire would be fully contained. “Any smoke or flammablesubstance can become toxic over time,” Atlas warned, adding that officials werestill analyzing the smoke’s composition.
