However, Reid isn’t letting the reporters know that he is worried about him.
Instead, Reid shared his praise for the top running back in the league.
“[Saquon Barkley]’s a great player, potential future Hall of Famer,” Reid said.
“He was tremendous at New York, he had a great year this year with the Eagles.
“So he’s helped them, especially in the rush game, but he can catch the ball
“He’s been a great addition for them.”
NFL fans know of Saquon’s prowess, and shared their thoughts about Reid’s respectful response about him on social media.
“Big Red knows ball,” one fan said.
“Yeah, but it’d be way more interesting if Andy would’ve talked smack,” another fan said.
“That is not high praise, it’s just stating the obvious,” a third fan said.
“The best RB IN THE WORLD!!!!!” a fourth fan said.
“Don’t start with that nice guy bulls*** Andy,” a fifth fan said.
Barkley had one of the best running back seasons of all time in 2024.
In 16 games he ran for 2,005 yards with 13 touchdowns.
Barkley also added 278 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver.
He led the NFL in touches, rushing yards, rushing yards per game, and yards from scrimmage.
He was named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro first team, and will likely be considered for MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.
Of course, winning the Super Bowl is likely more important to him than any individual award.
The Chiefs and Eagles will face off on February 9 in New Orleans.
