Wilson played just 11 games this season after starting the season injured.
After being named the starter, Wilson passed for 2,482 yards with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Regardless of the season he had, Wilson shared his excitement about the selection on his X account.
“God is Good!!! 10th Pro Bowl,” he wrote.
Maye had a similar season to Wilson’s.
He played just 13 games this year, passing for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
NFL fans were baffled by these picks and shared who they would have taken as Pro Bowlers over Maye and Wilson.
“Damn they throwing anyone on that roster now,” one fan said.
“How did this happen,” another fan said.
“OVER BO NIX??? COME ON, NOW,” a third fan said.
“Pro bowl is a joke,” a fourth fan said.
“Pro Bowl accolade looking more and more like a participation award,” a fifth fan said.
So who would have made a better Pro Bowl selection than Wilson and Maye?
Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix wouldn’t have been a bad choice.
Nix played all 17 games this season, passing for 3,775 yards with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He also rushed for 430 yards with four more touchdowns.
Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets also would have been a better pick for the Pro Bowl.
He passed for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Even Tua Tagovailoa put up better numbers than Wilson and Maye, and he missed six games with injuries.
