Things got worse before they got better. Raines (Carter Redwood) realized it was time to use Vo's list of people to call if something happened to her, and revealed that they each had the other's list. Before he could get to it, Raines was taken by Csonka for his FBI credentials, and Tate (Christina Wolfe) had to find both Vo and Raines' lists.
So what happens next for Vo, and does that emotional reminder of her closeness with Raines mean their will they/won't they vibes are back on? Read on for Vidotto's reaction to the drama and a few teases for what's coming up in the back half of this season of FBI: International.
What was it like to read through this storyline and discover you were getting a little time off? It was an epic script, and I loved that it was a three-parter. I was down for it. A couple of our main cast have been shot in the past, and it's always something heartwrenching for the team; they go through it together. So that's always a nice moment, even though it's unfortunate. There's a dual feeling that happens when something like this goes down: Shocked and excited and intrigued. The script was written so well by Edgar Castillo and it was directed so well by Michael Cattleman, and it was so fun to do the interrogation scenes with Csonka. He's so good, so menacing.
Did you get any warning that this was coming? Nope.
So you're not even in this midseason premiere. Have you seen it, or did you read the script? So I actually did not read [Episode 9]. I did it on purpose, because you read every script and then you perform it. I just watch movies through the eyes of an actor now. I just kind of wish that I could take that away. I just want to enjoy it, but sometimes you get too picky and things like that. I was like, "Oh my god, I'm not going to read this. I just want to see what my castmates do, and I want to enjoy it not as a cast member." I'm still going to watch it as an actor, but at least it's one step away from being too inside of it. So honestly, I know the gist of it, but I want to see where it goes. I want to be on the ride with the audience.

This episode had some reminders that Vo and Raines are super close, but there haven't been many scenes with them this season. Is that changing?I think this season, the focus is on Wes because he's new to the team. So I think it's all about getting to know him and seeing how the team interacts with him. I obviously have a past connection with him, because he was my training mentor. It morphs and evolves. And I think the friendship between Raines and Smitty got a lot closer last season when she went through finding out who her real dad was, and he's been there for Amanda as well. We'll see.
OK, well we've been waiting for somebody to flirt with somebody. It's been a while on this show. Wes is single, right? And Jay said there might be some flirtation coming up.That's a Jay answer for sure. That is a Jay answer. We'll see, we'll see. I know, but I don't know at the same time. We'll just have to see.
