Virat Kohli will be playing his first game in the Ranji Trophy after 2012 as Delhi will be taking on Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from January 30 to February 2. His availability was recently confirmed by the Delhi coach Sarandeep Singh a few days back.
Kohli's return to the Ranji Trophy comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made it mandatory for all players to play domestic cricket. The governing body issued guidelines to contracted players after the team's poor performances in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where they lost by a margin of 3-1.

Virat Kohli playing the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match will be a big confidence booster for him. The batter has been below par in the Tests since 2020 and also failed in the entire home season last year followed by the Test series against the Australia National Cricket Team down under.
