A retail theft operation by San Francisco police officers from Ingleside Station resulted in six arrests on Monday, San Francisco PD said.

Crime and Public Safety | Person stabbed in fight at Caltrain stationThe planned enforcement targeted a business in the 3300 block of Mission Street, a location with a high number of shoplifting incidents, a news release issued Friday noted.
Uniformed and plainclothes officers took part in apprehending individuals suspected of shoplifting.
As a result of the operation, six adults were arrested on suspicion of organized retail crime and petty theft, police said. The stolen merchandise was recovered by officers and returned to the store.
SFPD officials noted the significance of these operations in reducing thefts at businesses across the Ingleside District and San Francisco.
Dozens of arrests have been made in recent months, and the department plans to continue similar initiatives, SFPD noted.
