Griffith will move to Brisbane to start his new role at Cricket Australia's National Cricket Centre after stepping down from his assistant coach position with Victoria. He has previously worked with the Australian men’s team during bilateral tours in 2012 and 2016 and at the 2019 ODI World Cup in England.
"I'm delighted Adam will bring his extensive experience to Cricket Australia as National Pace Bowling Coach and become an important part of our coaching set up," McDonald said in a statement.
The Australia cricket team will be next seen in action during the upcoming two-match Test series against the Sri Lanka cricket team. Australia has already advanced to the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final, which is set to take place against South Africa from June 11 to 15 at Lord's Cricket Ground.

Griffith, a former Sheffield Shield winner with Tasmania, has 169 wickets from 50 first-class matches. After retiring in 2011, Adam Griffith gained extensive coaching experience, starting with Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers.

Australia's pace bowling lineup is going through a transition period. Key players such as Mitchell Starc (34), Josh Hazlewood (34), and Pat Cummins (31) are in the later stages of their careers, with Scott Boland and Michael Neser also 35 and 34, respectively.
Pace bowling all-rounder Cameron Green and Victorian Will Sutherland are both 25, while Jack Edwards from New South Wales is 24.
