The ceasefire has brought a temporary haltto over 15 months of intense fighting in the Palestinian territory, allowingrescue teams and civilians to access areas previously unreachable.
“A number of victims are still under therubble and on the roads,” the ministry stated. “Ambulances and civil protectionteams are unable to reach them.”
In response to the growing death toll, theministry has urged families of the deceased or missing to register online toassist with the identification of bodies and ensure accurate casualty records.
Entire families were wipedout, with 2,092 families completely erased from civil records, and 4,889families losing all but one member. The war also left 38,495 children orphaned,13,901 women widowed, and 3,500 children facing life-threatening malnutrition.
The report furtherdetailed the extensive humanitarian toll, including 4,500 amputees, 15,000individuals requiring long-term rehabilitation, and the deaths of 12,316 women,1,155 medical personnel, and 205 journalists. The Israeli army reportedlyestablished mass graves, burying 520 bodies in hospitals.
