WHAT: Board of Education organizational meeting Jan. 8.

PRESENT: Julie Altawil, Jeff Pegg, Wendy Miller, Brianne Perry and Ken Jones.

The board:

• Named Altawil as board president and Pegg as vice president.

• Named Perry as legislative liaison to the Ohio School Board Association.

• Approved joining the Ohio School Boards Association at $8,965.

• Approved Mason Prosser as assistant varsity swim coach at $3,757.

• Set meetings for 5:30 p.m. the fourth Monday at various school locations.
