Evacuation Warnings Issued for 2-Acre Brush Fire in Poway ...Middle East

Evacuation warnings were issued shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday because of a brush fire near the intersection of Ted Williams Parkway and Pomerado Road in Poway.

Cal Fire and Poway Fire are at the scene of the fire, which has reached 2 acres in size and is threatening structures.

A temporary evacuation point is located at Abraxas High School, 12450 Glen Oak Road in Poway.

Because of the wind direction, the potential evacuation area stretches southwest of the intersection.
