This had come following a remarkable comeback effort from 11 points down after quarterback and MVP contender Jackson turned the ball over twice in the first half before inspiring a comeback.
Baltimore then had the chance to win it, only for tight end Andrews to drop a late catch that would have sent the game into overtime.
Jackson was visibly upset by his own and his team-mates costly errors in the game and launched into an X-rated rant following the game.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Jackson said: “First half I had two costly turnovers.
“Me not holding the safety, me just ignoring the coverage, me knowing it was… threw a BS interception.
“Every time we’re in a situation like this, turnovers play a factor, penalties play a factor.
“Tonight, it was the turnovers. We can’t have that s***.
“That’s why we lost the game. As you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully, it’s just hold onto the f***ing ball.
“I’m sorry for my language, but this s* is annoying. I’m tired of this s*.”
ESPN pundit Stephen A. reacted on social media by defending Jackson and commenting on how unbelievable the missed catch was by Andrews considering his amazing consistency since 2019.
He said: “This is not on @Lj_era8. He did his job.
“Unfortunately, the great Mark Andrews — who hasn’t lost a fumble since 2019, and doesn’t drop passes — got stripped for a fumble and then dropped the 2-pt conversion that would’ve tied the game with under 2 min left.
“Tragic! Absolutely Tragic.”
In a follow-up post, after Jackson had taken responsibility for the defeat, he added: “Appreciate the accountability on @Lj_era8’s part.
“Right thing to do. Kudos to him. But it’s on Andrew’s. So sad.
“The guy has been great for years — Mr. Reliable. What a horrible time for this to happen to him. But it happened.”
With the Ravens’ season now done, their triumphant opponents the Bills will take on the defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Conference Final.
That game will commence next Sunday, with the Chiefs having beaten the Houston Texans 23-14 to book their spot.
The winner of the AFC final will face one of the Philadelphia Eagles or Washington Commanders at next month’s Super Bowl.
