SACRAMENTO – The Athletics revealed that they will be wearing two patches, one to honor Rickey Henderson and another to commemorate the capital city, for their first season at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.

— Athletics (@Athletics) January 17, 2025Henderson, the league's all-time leader in stolen bases, died on Dec. 20. Over his 25-year career, he won the 1989 World Series with the Athletics. He then won another with the Toronto Blue Jays.
The A's also announced the team will be wearing a new patch featuring the Tower Bridge with the word "Sacramento" in the script. This comes are the organization plays its first temporary season in Sacramento ahead of its planned move to Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, fans can register for an opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets to Opening Day as well as a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants, July 4-6. Registration will close on Jan. 26 and selected fans will be notified via email on how to buy tickets.
