A 50-year-old man was killed, a boy injured and seven residents displaced early Wednesday, Jan. 15, when a driver crashed through an apartment in Los Feliz.
Los Angeles police officers responded to the crash at 1836 N. Western Ave., south of Franklin Avenue, around 1:40 a.m. and learned a sedan traveling on Western slammed into the apartment, NBC 4 reported.
Two people were trapped under the vehicle and extradited from within the unit in the two-story building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The 9-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition, the LAFD said.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
