THIS sixties sitcom star looks completely unrecognizable 55 years after she starred in the hit TV show that made her famous.

Now in her eighties, when this lady was in her twenties, her most iconic role was Betty Jo Bradley on the CBS sitcom Petticoat Junction.

The hit sitcom aired from 1963 to 1970, and she was a total hit with viewers.

But last week, the former sitcom star stunned fans when she stepped out in Los Angeles.

Running errands in LA, Linda Kaye Henning, who is now 80 years old, looked very different from her days playing Betty Jo Bradley.

Seen out and about, the star was wearing a corduroy jacket and some loose-fitting jeans, with her looking worlds away from her Petticoat Junction character.

Although she now looks different from her sitcom acting days, there is still one very recognizable feature.

Linda still has her signature red hair, with her locks worn down and in a sleek style on her recent outing.

When Linda was younger, she was often seen donning some very glamorous outfits, with these seen on-screen, and in her day-to-day life.

When Linda played the role of Betty Jo in Petticoat Junction, her character was one of three daughters helping their mom run the Shady Rest Hotel.

Speaking about her time on Petticoat Junction in a previous interview, Linda told Closer Weekly: “We were one of the friendliest sets around. We all got along.”

‘WE WERE ALL A FAMILY’

She added: “After our show was off the air, every now and then I’d see somebody from our crew on another set, and it would be like old times.

“We were all a family.”

But there was heartbreak for Linda when Bea Benaderet, the actress who played her mom on the show, Kate Bradley, was diagnosed with lung cancer during the taping of Petticoat Junction.

“The toughest day was when they had a letter written from Kate to Betty Jo,” Linda previously said of her on-screen mom’s exit from the show.

“They had recorded Bea reading it, and I just tried not to burst out into tears during the scene,” she said.

We were one of the friendliest sets around. We all got along.

As well as starring in Petticoat Junction, Linda also popped up in musicals like Bye Bye Birdie and Brigadoon.

She also provided the voiceover of Jethrine Bodine on The Beverly Hillbillies, where actor Max Baer Jr. played his character Jethro’s twin sister.

ON-SCREEN MARRIAGE TO REAL LIFE LOVERS

Linda was born in Los Angeles, which is where she still lives today, to parents Paul and Ruth.

In 1968, after shooting to sitcom stardom, Linda married her co-star Mile Minor, who played Steve Elliott.

The couple’s wedding came one year after their on-screen characters got wed on Petticoat Junction, with their love story mirroring that of Betty Jo and Steve.

Although the couple seemed like a perfect match, they sadly split and got divorced in 1973.

Linda then went on to marry Leon Ashby Adams in 1994.
