Person killed in overnight hit-and-run crash on Colfax ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) — A person died overnight Saturday after a hit-and-run crash on West Colfax Avenue, Denver police reported Sunday morning.

The crash happened Saturday evening at Colfax Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to a post on X from the Denver Police Department. The vehicle's driver did not stay at the scene, and the person hit was taken to the hospital, where they later died.

Westbound Colfax Avenue and southbound Federal Boulevard were closed for several hours as police investigated in the area but have since reopened.

Police said the investigation was ongoing to develop a suspect.
