When one TikTok user attempted to capture plumes of smoke in the distance from what appeared to be a pier in Santa Monica, they ended up having an unexpected encounter with a major movie star.

In a clip shared on Wednesday, Jan. 9, people walked back and forth in front of the camera as smoke billowed in the background against a bright blue sky. Suddenly, Cage strolled past, stopping to acknowledge that he was being filmed with a quick wave. The 60-year-old star was dressed in all black, wearing a jacket, shirt, jeans, and boots.
