BARSTOOL Sports has announced the tragic death of one of its journalists, Jonathan Stanko, at just 32.
Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce the devastating news.

“Really sad news from the world of Barstool,” he wrote.
“We lost Jonathan Stanko to cancer yesterday morning. He was 32 years old and leaves behind a wife.
“He worked in our NY offices for close to 4 years and was well liked by literally everybody he worked with. (Very rare at Barstool),” he went on.
“It’s the 1st time we’ve had to deal with something this heavy in the 20 years of Barstool.
“A cruel reminder not to take a day for granted because tomorrow isn’t promised to anybody.”
Tributes were paid to the young journalist following the awful news.
“So sad, 32, way, way too young,” one X user wrote.
“Condolences to his wife and family, and the greater Barstool family. Hug your loved ones. Appreciate every day.”
