GREG OLSEN reckons several NFL teams will be weighing up a potential move for Aaron Rodgers following his display in the New York Jets’ season finale.

The Jets closed out their 14th-straight play-off absent season last Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

Rodgers rolled back the years at the MetLife Stadium, throwing four incredible touchdown passes as the Jets ran out 32-20 winners.

Speculation is rife over the the 41-year-old’s future with the franchise.

And Rodgers’ display in his potential farewell appearance prompted Fox Sports color analyst Olsen to say: “There’s a lot of teams around the league that are taking very close note.”

He continued: “We have talked a lot about can he still play. Can he move?

“Can he do all of the physical things?

“Coming into today, he had five touchdown passes through 17 weeks where he was under pressure or on the move.

“He has thrown four today, that’s the most by any quarterback the entire season.”

Retired tight end Olsen was blown away by the four-time MVP award winner.

The 39-year-old said of the quarterback’s performance: “This is the best version of Aaron Rodgers we’ve seen all year.”

Rodgers was over the moon to have delivered his best display in a Jets shirt.

He said: “It feels good to be able to do some of the things the last five or six weeks that I knew I was capable of doing even at 40, 41.”

It’s unclear if Jets brass want to keep Rodgers – who snapped his left achilles in September 2023 – around next season.

Rodgers has remained coy on what’s next for him but will respect whatever decision the Jets make.

“Either way,” he continued. “I won’t be upset or offended, whatever they decide to do.

“If they want to move on, if I still want to play. And if not, I’ll let them know at some point if that’s the case.”

Rodgers hopes to receive clarity on his future from chairman Woody and Christopher Johnson soon rather than later.

He said: “We have the conversations in the next few days.

“Whatever happens out of there, I don’t know if anything will be definitive coming out of those.

“But I just need some time away to think about my future in the game, and my future here if they want me to be a part of the next phase or if they’re ready to move on.

“Either way, I’m thankful for my two years here.”
