India National Cricket Team suffered a 3-1 thrashing against the Australia National Cricket Team in the three-match ODI series. They looked clueless with the bat and ball and even after winning the first game, they couldn't carry on the momentum in the next games.
Yuvraj Singh, while talking about the loss, supported the team and said that no other team has won two back-to-back series in Australia. He said that fans shouldn't criticize Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as he feels that they would be more hurt.
"I look at what India has achieved in the last five-six years. They have achieved two back-to-back victories in Australia. I don't remember if any other team has done that. We are saying bad things about our greats Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli... we forget what they have achieved in the past. They are one of the greatest cricketers of this time.
I have never seen in the past that the captain's form is not going well and he has gone out - Yuvraj Singh on Rohit Sharma dropping himself
Yuvraj Singh also talked about Rohit Sharma's decision to drop himself from the last Test, saying that it was his greatness. He also hailed the skipper as a great captain and said:
My job is to support my friends and brothers - Yuvraj Singh
Yuvraj Singh added that losing to Australia after two series wins was acceptable but not the loss against New Zealand. He also shared his take on how things can get improved, adding that players are his family and he will support them. He explained:
"I was a student of the game and now I am a student of the game. The amount of cricket I have played, they have played more cricket than me. I can give my opinion. And my opinion is that when players are not performing, it is easy to say bad about them. But it is very difficult to support them. Media's job is to say bad about them. My job is to support my friends and brothers. For me, they are my family. Simple."
