Georgia receiver Anthony Evans plans to enter the transfer portal, according to a report.
That news was first shared by On3’s Hayes Fawcett, who notes that Evans originally arrived at Georgia as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2023.

— Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) January 5, 2025Even as Georgia’s wide receiver corps struggled at times in 2024, Evans was unable to carve out a consistent role on the offense. He caught 9 passes for 88 yards this season. The lone receiving touchdown of his career came last season in Georgia’s win over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
However, Evans did make a big impact on the Bulldogs as a returner this season. He returned 17 punts this season for a total of 129 yards. He also returned 7 kickoffs for 124 yards.
Georgia will be looking to re-make its wide receiver room for the 2025 season. The Bulldogs had a down year offensively and will have a new quarterback next season as well with Carson Beck opting to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
With Georgia’s season now over, the Bulldogs are expected to continue work on next year’s roster in the coming days and weeks. So far, the Bulldogs have not landed any commitments out of the transfer portal for this cycle.
Evans will have 2 years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
